POLICIES & PROCEDURES
ADMISSION
A parent seeking admission for his/her child to attend Little Flower School will be required to attend an Orientation and/or Interview at which time the school’s policies, programs and curriculum are discussed.
Elementary students will require a pre-admission testing, which is designed to assess the child’s academic abilities and to insure appropriate class placement. Students are placed according to abilities and not necessarily by age. The child’s most recent report card will be helpful in the placement process.
An annual physical is required by law for each student. All children must be fully immunized before the start of the school year.
REGISTRATION
Prospective parents are invited to attend an Orientation prior to enrollment. This will be an informal presentation by the Director who will charge you with the school's policies, programs and procedures. Admission is competitive due to space availability and candidates are selected on the basis of the parent and child becoming totally involved in the education process. Each completed application must be accompanied with a non-refundable Registration Fee and a medical done within 1 year by a physician.
Doors open at 7:00am and closes at 6:00 pm. A Late fee of $10.00 per 15 minutes will be incurred after 6:01 pm. That amount is to be paid to the personnel who remained late with the student.
TUITION
Because we count on full enrollment to meet our monthly expenses, there is absolutely no credit or waiver of fees/tuition for week/s unattended by student. Fees are due the first Monday in each month or week depending on the payment option you elect. If full payment is received later than the 15th of the month without consultation with the Director, your child will be denied admission to class the following day.
TESTING FEE
For a testing fee of $50.00, all Elementary incoming students will be tested on their grade level to better assess and evaluate placement. Students and their parents will be interviewed prior to acceptance. The student's most recent report card is necessary in the evaluation process.
BOOKS
Upon receipt of your pre-registration, you will receive the book list. All books listed will be required for the beginning of the school year in September.
TRIPS
To keep the cost of the trips to a minimum, we are unable to reserve more than (2) buses. Therefore, tickets have to be distributed on a first come, first served basis only. Trip price includes admission and transportation based on the actual cost.
EARLY WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURE
If a student withdraws in the midst of the school year, the school must be notified in writing one (1) month prior and 50% of the security deposit will be withheld for Administrative purposes. There will be absolutely NO EXCEPTION to this withdrawal policy. Parents who elect not to follow the withdrawal procedure will not only be denied a refund but will be required to pay the balance of the year's tuition.
SECURITY DEPOSIT REQUEST
Request for security deposit must be specified in your withdrawal letter, stating if you would like it to be applied to fees/tuition or monetary refund. Refunds are given with full compliance of all policies (eg: outstanding late charges for fees/tuition or unpaid check fees, etc.).
